No, CarClarity is a car ownership platform that helps you find, finance and own your vehicle. CarClarity has partnered with CGU to help you access CGU's range of Comprehensive vehicle insurance options.
Our Comprehensive vehicle insurance is issued by Insurance Australia Limited ABN 11 000 016 722 AFSL 227681 trading as CGU Insurance. CGU is backed by Insurance Australia Group (IAG), Australia’s largest general insurer, and has partnered with CarClarity to bring you a range of Comprehensive car insurance options.
All the important information on how to make your insurance claims is located on our Comprehensive Car Insurance Claims page. Had an accident? Head over and follow the steps on our claims page to get things underway. Further details can also be found in your PDS.
CGU has a network of partner repairers across Australia that you can select from. They can even manage the whole repair process for you and provide a lifetime workmanship guarantee on repairs performed by their partner repairers. Prefer to use your own repairer? No worries - just make sure they are licensed and CGU has authorised the quoted cost for the repairs before they begin.
CGU's standard Comprehensive car insurance policy protects your car no matter who’s driving (with a few exceptions).
If you have a ‘Nominated Driver’ or ‘Nominated Driver Low Kilometre’ Comprehensive policy, drivers under 25 aren’t covered (except learners accompanied by a fully licensed driver over the age of 25). Also, if someone over the age of 25 is driving and they’re not listed on your Nominated Driver or ‘Nominated Driver Low Kilometre’ policy, you’ll pay a higher excess if you make a claim.
Please refer to the PDS for full terms and conditions.
Yes, learner drivers are covered under CGU's standard Comprehensive car insurance policy if they are supervised by a fully licensed driver. If you’ve chosen the ‘Nominated Driver’ or ‘Nominated Driver Low Kilometre’ Comprehensive policy, all learner divers must be accompanied by a fully licensed Nominated Driver who is aged over 25 years or more when the learner driver is behind the wheel to avoid paying an additional excess.
Please refer to the PDS for full terms and conditions.
